An Unconventional Portrait
Photo Description:
My piece is exploring different ways of portraiture, here focusing on the corruption of a classic photograph. I used a Hassleblad camera to take the close-up image and by using the process of silk painting, created a layer of texture and pattern to cover it with. Printed on a large scale it aims to get the viewer to think beyond a normal photograph and see that the corruption of one can be just as beautiful.
