Photo Description:
Acrylic painted ceramic. Clay was the perfect medium for realising this project looking at Tudor portraits and turning paintings into low reliefs. The properties of clay allowed the sumptuous detail of the Tudor clothing to be modeled, and imprinting techniques using lace and other objects created beautiful textures.
