This is a photograph I have taken for a decay project. These petrol pumps are by the Asda in Wheatley and have been neglected for years and have slowley decayed over these years. I find this decay upsetting as it was once something beautiful, however, I think it is still beautiful. The rust and the texture in this piece is what I think what makes it stand out in particular and the intricate detail on the numbers in the meter. Also, I thought that this worked better as a close up so you can really see the decay in great detail. |
