Temple

Photo Description:
This construction is in the form of a Roman Doric Temple with its proportions based on this classical design. My experiments lead me to this form in order to juxtapose the arbitrary objects which compose it. Each object was randomly chosen in a fashion similar to Robert Rauschenberg’s combines, yet has been used to represent a feature of the temple. For example an industrial fan decorates the pediment where a wreath would usually be sculpted.
