This piece examines the temptations and pressure on young people in society today. The biblical idea of good and evil is present in the blue and red figure - one tempting, while the other points down judging. The central figure looks out in question to which path she should take. I focussed on the quote by Flora Whittemore: “the doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live”, so my piece is based on the idea that our time is precious and we must take the roads that we feel are right. During the creation of this piece i was inspired by Jenny Saville and Alphonse Mucha. |
