Longbenton Community College is a highly regarded, well established community technology college delivering a high quality education to students in the 11-18 age range as well as members of the adult community.

As a community college serving the needs of students of all ages, interests and abilities, we aim to provide a quality educational experience which will seek to fulfill the potenital and further develop the aspirations of all our members.

We see education as a dynamic process, whereby students and teachers alike are encouraged to consider new ideas and develop new skills and interests.

As a technology college, we will use the way we blend technology into all our teaching, and the way we train students to solve problems, to work together and to be responsible for their own learning to create a community that understands, benefits from and then shapes the technology of the 21st century. This process will be carried out within the context of a caring community, where there is a fundamental respect for the work of each individual and a caring tolerance and sensitivity towards the needs of others.

We shall work in partnership with parents, community groups, the business community, the Local Education Authority, higher education and other bodies to enhance the educational experience of our members. In all aspects of college life we will strive for excellence, both in the quality of teaching provided and the standards of learning achieved by all our students.
