Upton Hall School
Upton Hall School is a Voluntary Aided Catholic Grammar School for girls aged 11-18. We are keen for our pupils to work with contemporary artists and to this end we have arranged 10 residencies over the last 3 academic years. The resultant work is on display at the Williamson Art Gallery, Birkenhead as part of the events to celebrate Liverpool 08 Capital of Culture and can be viewed by clicking on the link:

The 7 artists will be offering workshops for the public as a result of a grant from Awards for All. After the exhibition closes the framed work will be gifted to Arrowe Park Hospital,Birkenhead as a permanent exhibition.
We aim to put creativity at the heart of learning at Upton Hall and to this end encourage a personalised learning programme with an early identification of strengths.
Pupils from all Key Stages are encouraged to exhibit their work at local galleries and we find that deadlines for public display act as keen motivators for the girls. Working with contemporary artists from different disciplines, the pupils' confidence has grown in a challenging and supportive atmosphere.
