The Brooksbank School
The Brooksbank School is a truly comprehensive school, attracting pupils with a wide range of cultural backgrounds and abilities. It encourages pupils to excel whatever their aptitudes or interests. Every year the majority of our sixth form students progress on to degree courses, many to the universities. We are equally proud of our provision for children with special educational needs and our sporting and artistic successes.
Our broad, balanced and coherent curriculum is delivered by well-qualified, enthusiastic and committed teachers, and is supported by a strong pastoral team which promotes and values parental involvement. We believe that children should be happy and that school should be memorable for them, so we encourage children to take part in a wide range of cultural, artistic and sporting activities in order to develop their individual talents and interests.
The Brooksbank School has been awarded Artsmark Gold status and pupils are given the opportunity to study a wide range of areas including Drama, Dance, Music, and Visual Arts including Textiles, 3D, Fine Art, and Digital Arts.
At Brooksbank School we also run The Arts Award. A nationally recognized award, The Arts Award is the first award scheme to recognise the development of young artists and young arts leaders. The Award celebrates the creative progress made by young people and not just their artistic skill.
