Since its foundation in 1902 the name of St Benedict’s has resonated with its distinctive blend of history, tradition and academic excellence. The school is now fully co-educational from 3 years through to 18.
St Benedict’s is proud of its uniqueness. Its mission, ‘Teaching a way of living’, defines it as a Catholic Benedictine school.
In the past eight years there has been huge investment in buildings and facilities. Most recently the £6.2 million Cloisters complex was opened in October 2008 and a multi-purpose playing area, incorporating a full-size hockey pitch, in March 2011.
St Benedict’s offers a wide range of co-curricular activities including sport, music, drama and opportunities for Christian service. The Art department has an enviable reputation for high quality academic work and is a hive of creative activity throughout the school day.
The school invites you to visit for yourself and see the many opportunities available. You can be sure of a warm Benedictine welcome.
