Capital City Academy

Capital City Academy aims to achieve the highest academic standards across a full range of subjects. In addition, the school has specialist strength in physical education, sport and the Arts. In 2005 the school won an Artsmark Silver Award.

Academies are a new type of government school. Partly funded by sponsorship, they serve the community, offering places to students of all abilities and raising standards and expectations. Capital City Academy is an independent state school that does not charge for the education provided and has no religious affiliation.
