SUNNYDOWN SUNNYDOWN SCHOOL IS A SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOOL FOR BOYS AGED 11-16.THE BOYS HAVE SPECIFIC LEARNING DIFFICULTIES SUCH AS SPEECH AND LANGUAGE; INCLUDING DYSLEXIA AND HIGH FUNCTIONING AUTISTIC CONDITIONS. THE BOYS ACHIEVE GREATLY AT ART AND DESIGN AND SOME GO ON TO COLLEGE TO DO COURSES IN THIS FIELD AND THEN EVEN TO DO DEGREES.
ART IS DEFINITELY A VEHICLE FOR WAYS FOR PUPILS TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES AND GIVES THEM A SENSE OF ACHIEVEMENT AND CONFIDENCE.
