Impressions and Illusions
Impressions and Illusions
Photo Description:
Acrylic on fibreboard 40x80 cm. The picture is divided into three areas. In the lowest one you can see my life and my current feelings. I´m very optimistic and I´m keen to know what future awaits me. I also need time for myself and a place for rest. This peaceful side of me is balanced through my outgoing nature and my love for travel. I am also particularly interested in the literature and the culture of the countries I visit. The ivy is the link between the present and the future because I think and I hope that I won´t loose these things. The future is very shady to me, this explains the black night, but the region of hope and faith remains prominent. I also want to get a new view of life and world and I want to see more than just Europe. The veil is important for me because it protects me from the unknown. Through this veil, a lot of my life remains hidden, and so one´s impressions of me remain subjective and they are therefore illusions.
