Photo Description:
Acrylic on fibreboard 40x80 cm. My painting is divided in three parts. The bottom section shows things, that surround me. Background is a football pitch, because football is playing an enormous role in my life. The books stand for the school and the notes are supposed to show that I`m quite musical. The reason why I choose the green background colour and the trees is simply because I have lived my whole life on the countryside. Moving to the middle section, there is my portrait. Characteristic is the blue mouth, which emphasizes its form, creating an impression of satisfaction and happiness. For the face itself and the background I chose colours between red and yellow, by which I wanted to create a feeling of security and warmth. The upper section starts with the beach which goes over into the big "ocean of the unknown". At the horizon you can see a path which leads to a land, which is visible only vaguely, but the path ends in the water. In the near future I will get to the point, where it is Me standing somewhere on the beach, not knowing how to get to the path which will lead me to the land; my new home; my future. The last point is my hope of a world, where nature is still alive. That´s why the vaguely visible land is mostly green. The grey blocks are symbols for urban life, which surely will play quite a big role in my life, but I hope that I will "get" enough nature.
