AN INTERNATIONAL ART PRIZE FOR SCHOOLCHILDREN UP TO AGE 18

Welbeck Community First School caters for 4 to 9 year old children. We provide an effective environment for learning. In July 2002, our school was awarded the Basic Skills Quality Mark that recognises the progress being made in raising standards. In today's world, education is vital, and by giving children a first rate education during these formative years in school, we can help them achieve their potential in later years.

The school is situated in a semi-rural setting on the outskirts of Ashington town and serves the east end of the town. We are close to the richness of the mining heritage of the area as well as the amenities of Ashington and the school has maintains close links with the community.
