Harrow has a rich heritage and strong school personality - it is a school which acknowledges the imporatnce of a well-rounded education. Art plays a pivotal role in that - over 300 pupils pass through The Art Schools.
The Art Schools at Harrow are located across multiple sites on the Hill. These include the purpose-built Art Schools which house the Pasmore Gallery and a spectacular studio, as well as an excellent print room, while on a separate site there is a classroom for Art History. Nearby, the Leaf Studios comprise two large, vibrant spaces and a technician’s workshop. The Sculpture Studio is an exciting workshop on the other side of the Hill with facilities for ceramics, welding, carving and fabricating almost anything in 3D. There is also a Photography Studio with a well equipped digital and black and white darkroom.
The department is led by a Director of Art, supported by Heads of Painting, Sculpture, Photography and Art History. There are nine teaching staff in total, with more expertise offered by three highly qualified technicians.
