City of Ember
By miller
This is a nail biting animated movie that doesn't patronise its young audience. The futuristic dystopian plot follows two children on an adventure to save their city. Entertaining for all genrations, with a bit of a 'children rule ok' feel about it.

Appaloosa

You want to see a modern western with a bit of totty(Rene Zellweger) see this. The sheriff and his deputy are mens mens, fighting the badies that shoot people with badges. It is not epic or too Hollywood( the gunshots dont have a characatured blast, but a natural ping) , but good and simple old fashioned fun.

Fear(s) of the Dark
By Rossetti
Six graphic artists have bee commissioned from what I gather to present their nightmares. I haven't seen black and white at the cinema, and wouldn't usually see this style of show, but a friend persuaded me, and I was glad of it. They are great animations, but they weren't scary.

Heavy Load
By Pearl
A warm-hearted film about a punk band whose members all have learning disabilities in a rockumentary style. They progress from smoky bars to a festival. It laughs at the band members tad, which put me off, but generally, I think it was affectionately meant.

Good Dick -
By Clive
The title says everything. It isn't deep and meaningful, but presents a lighthearted tale of a recluse porn watching female, and dithering Dick , who rents her DVDs. Completely shallow, but what did you expect!
