Fiona Adams has worked as a film maker and camerawoman for over 15 years, directing films for all the major broadcasters including Channel Four and the acclaimed series 'Secret World of Year 3' for the BBC. In 2005, she founded Shoot it For Yourself Productions to work with a wide range of young people, empowering them to devise, produce and present their own films including the Observer "Young Environmentalist" award winning film 'The Amazing Adventure of the Plastic Bag'.
Fiona brings extensive experience from lecturing film at Sussex University and the University of the Arts London. Each year she hosts "School of Doc" at the SEE Film Festival, a showcase event where young people can present and screen their own work. Through her work with the national Creative Partnerships organisation she ensures continued reflective practice and embedded learning outcomes within the project for the young people.
