Through the use of sculpture I have been able to distort our conscious perception of time and how it represents a constrain in our everyday lives. By Showing a distorted (frozen) symbol of time itself we are able to walk round the sculpture and examine the freeze frame.
The art work includes a projected film of the clock being exploded. While the sculpture acts as a freeze frame for people to relish in the milliseconds after the explosion.
It provides a powerful message of things to come as the development of virtual reality enables us to become immersed in moments of time. |
