This work has been inspired by the work of Ceramicist Joan Lurie. Following a visit to Kew gardens, I developed drawings of plant forms and the glass houses into a design for a sculpture. I was particularly inspired by the spiral staircase in the palm house, but was keen for my sculpture to be curved and organic like a plant form. |
