‘If the shoe fits’

I was really inspired to create this piece by the work of Surrealist artists Rene Magritte, Salvador Dali and Marcel Duchamp. I was fascinated by the way they play with objects in an unusual way. I began with an old brogue shoe, which I deconstructed and then reconstructed by twisting and contorting into the shape of a face. I added a mask to complete my assemblage. |
