I was inspired to create my sculpture by the visual artworks of Meret Oppenheim and in particular the work of Elsa Schiaparelli.Her Surrealist designs portray the element of surprise which I wanted to capture with the unusual objects I have combined. Using a pair of stilettos, some wooded alphabet blocks and two sets of wheels, I have tried to create an unexpected juxtaposition, true to the Surrealist movement. |
