The piece echoes the relentless charge of the conqueror. It was stimulated by the Assyrian lion hunts in the British Museum and the fallen bodies below denote the conquered. What we have not been able to send you is the film she made that explores the theme tune 'Its a beautiful World' which also shows film of the Serbs in Srebrenica, Bin Laden/9-11 and other images reflecting whole scale slughter since Nazi Germany.
The film is hugely moving but too big to send, but it does superimpose over the relief imagery you can see and lasts about 1 minute. |
