Porcupine Clock

Materials: metal wire, plastic clock, paint and plaster bandage. I researched various artists and designers such as Ernst Haeckel and Andy Goldsworthy. I became inspired by their work particularly their use of nature, techniques and mark-making. I based my clock on porcupine spikes which surround the clock so that it stands freely on a surface. I am interested in contemporary design and so the theme ‘The shape of things to come’ and the idea of a clock representing the ‘future’ related well to this. |
