Acton High School is a slightly larger than average 11-16 mixed comprehensive. The school has specialist status for media arts and is also a full service extended school. It acquired High Performing Specialist School status (HPSS) in January 2009, taking on a second specialism of applied learning. Sixth form is due to open in September 2012.
