Hitchin Girls' School is a single-sex, all-ability community school with 1080 students on roll. We are a designated Specialist Science College, and hold the Sportsmark, Silver Artsmark, ICT Mark, Secondary Geography Quality Mark with centre of excellence status , Healthy Schools and School Achievement awards. In 2006 we won the Healthy Schools Award in the Eastern Region Teaching Awards and in 2007 were awarded the Careers Education and Guidance Quality Award by Connexions Hertfordshire.
