Artwork Description:

My model Andrew is a fine art photographer. Once, on a bus in Marrakesh, I noticed a middle aged European man (he might even have been from Oxford!) with blue eyes and sun scorched skin. He was wearing the traditional Moroccan djellaba and a blue turban. Perhaps he came to Morocco for a short trip many years ago and did not realise that he would stay there for the rest of his life. When I saw Andrew's colourful photographic work depicting Morocco, it reminded me of that man on the bus. I imagined that European man, thirty years before, having just arrived in North Africa, not knowing that he would fall in love with that foreign land and stay forever.
