Part of my Urban Flux series, this piece is like a ruined cityscape. Technology becomes outdated so quickly that it is frequently discarded. It was these discarded articles that provided me with the circuit boards for this piece. The fast paced change of technology formed the perfect metaphor for the rate of change in the city. The circuit board components make me think of buildings and the cables form the city's infrastructure of roads and tube lines. |
