I took this photograph on Martin Luther King Dr. in St. Louis, MO. I analyzed the photograph several times. Recalling Dr. King's great fight for justice and peace, the words of the Old Negro Spiritual, "swing low sweet chariot, coming forth to carry me home...," rang out in my head. The van is a representation of the chariot, and the church in the background symbolizes the faith and religion rooted in those who first sang these lyrics.
