I'm a final year Fine Art Student. I work with words and am interested in art that includes community involvement.
I previously studied textiles and the appreciation and use of fabric is featured within my work, though this is not always the case. My skills within textiles have been transferable to my current practice.
My most recent project is called the memory project which started out as a platform to use Haikus (form of Japanese poetry) within my work. A Haiku represents a moment in time. The project has now escalated to such a scale where other ideas and opportunities are now reaching the surface. By collecting memories through the use of emails, websites, audio and visual recording and handwritten correspondence, it has been possible to start to create an archive for artists from all disciplines to use within their own practice.
