My current work focuses on domestic life. The work shown here, Sofa Portraits, is a series of images showing my daughter, Isabel, caught in the psychological space between the child and the adult world as she watches television. These portraits portray the flawed physicality of childhood and its mental and physical freedoms - but also the constraints that are applied by the adult world - be it the furnishings Isabel is so often pushing against, the dress determined by the educational system she is now part of, or even the cultural attitudes to her physical self-expression as she watches television.
My work is represented by Art Space, Witzenhausen, Amsterdam

Olena Slyesarenko <Slyesarenko> Very intimate images. I guess not everyone can capture the inner world coming through. They are so vulnerable and lonly- beautiful! |

Cloud Prestinari <31febbraio> I love your work a lot!
Your work revealing the complexities of the commonplace, and turning the body of emotions - our faith in facades - inside out.

S Moj <SophiaKatarzyna> Just wanted to say I think your photos are beautiful, intimate and unnerving in some. I love the way she's been presented as a person, not a child or an adult, so our allusions or what we expect to see from a photograph of a child has gone, its not twee or cute.
fantastic work
