• Born in Sarıyahşi, Aksaray, in 1964.
• Entry into the Faculty of Fine Arts, Hacettepe University, in 1984 and graduation from the same school in 1988.
• Beginning the postgraduate studies in field of Sculpture at the Institute of Social Sciences, Hacettepe University, in 1988 and completion in 1990.
• Receiving the courses of competence in science in field of Sculpture at the Institute of Social Sciences, Hacettepe University, as a guest-student from 1990 to 1992 and beginning to work as a research assistant in the branch of Sculpture at the Department of Painting at Kazım Karabekir Faculty of Education, Atatürk University.
• Completing his PhD by a thesis on ‘Techniques of Copy and Sculpture in the Ancient Greece and Rome’ in field of Classic Archaeology at the Institute of Social Sciences, Atatürk University, in 1997.
• Appointed as a staff member at the Department of Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Atatürk University, and then as the head of the same department in 1998.
