Eventually, activemindpress.com will be realized. Currently,I have two finished manuscripts of 5 major-stress count line, sonnets, ready for publication: 'I,Adam'; an imaginative adventure into the nature of consciousness as Adam wakes in the Garden of Eden; and, 'redrum sonnets', an exploration into victims and killers; life and death. Please click on the RED: "read all", below, to fully experience the poetry. RAVENS crows night creeps, croaking, into daylight’s sphere, black wings glisten piercing orbs, track movement effortlessly arrogant; why are you here unfettered by nobility, dignity, or doubt their ravenous passion; the morality of death survivors destiny manifest, the primal memory of ancestors, squawking, striking walking, coiled, not to run, but attack; go ahead, throw a rock, as you walk, away they will be watching, waiting, stalking the door of your house, the windshield of your car you will know in the rage, explosions bombings, perhaps even plopping on your head disgusting dribblings, marking, their revenge ignored, until the army descends attacking a hawk, or, evic... I enjoy your photograph entitled "Detritus of Entropy" not only for its sardonic commentary of contemporary life (at least I perceive it as such), but also for its aesthetic merits. The composition brings to mind 17th Century Italian still-life, such as something you might see in early Caravaggio, yet with a tonal harmony and geometric sensibility much more in the vein of modernism. However, if I may venture a helpful tip on the topic of aesthetics, I think that the image could benefit compositionally by extending a single object toward the viewer over the edge of the table. This has been done in Italian and Dutch still life to great effect, and serves to extend the formal relationships beyond the two-dimensional surface design and into a more dynamic three dimensional composition.
