Liam Herne
University Of Hertfordshire, Fine Art
I am a mixed media artist who is frustrated with the life i lead and vent my anger through art. I want to be a famous artist. I am self assured and probably come across as arrogant but i dont mean to. But its funny to see people's reaction when i claim to be the greatest artist in the world- i possibly could be. Also i am co-founder of the art movement AJENTE!- Artistic,Juvenile,Narcissistic,Terrorism! Just wanting to meet some un-pretentious artists who share the passion for art that i have. Back from Poland now and the work and my attitude has changed- slightly. Its in a sort of transition at the moment not sure where its going but i think its more professional and interesting. let us know what you think.

My Favourites
| Artists |
Probably Kippenberger or the Chapmans. Paul Mc Carthy is good as well. I dont care what anyone says Picasso is a great artist and a pioneer. Also David Shrigley is just brilliant i always laugh at his books but i wouldnt buy one because they are too overpriced in gallery shops. And of course Duchamp. Also i have to respect and admire Damien Hirst for he is an entrepreneur of the art world plus his collection at the serpentine was sick! |
| Movies |
i dont know probably Oldboy, Blade Runner, Indiana Jones and lots of Kung Fu films |
| Books |
Clockwork Orange and Crime and Punishment. |
| Places |
Jamaica's cool very chilled. The stairs outside my artblock as i like to smoke cigarettes and contemplate about life.My garden for that same reason. My balcony in Poland was good to reflect on the day and also smoke. You had a good view of all the drunk tramps as well. Generally anywhere where you can have a relaxing smoke. |
| People |
Family and Friends. Crazy random people are good for a laugh. |
| TV Shows |
I dont know anymore TV is becoming shit i like all the comedy stuff though- Peep Show, Shooting Stars, Fast SHow etc. etc |
| Music |
Garage, Reggae, Ska, House, Funky House, Hip Hop, Rap, Drum and Bass |
| |
My Least Favourites
|
| Artists |
I dunno anyone whose stuff is tame and safe and anyone who does pictures of flowers or fucking cats. |
| Movies |
Grease- what the fuck is that all about and generally any musicals because i find them stupid and frightening. And now these fucking shit programmes about trying to fing someone to act in the new production of Grease. Fucking Hell! Apart from the muppet films they are the exception. |
| Books |
I aint read it but mein kampf probably aint very well written or thought out apparently its a bit prejudice. |
| People |
Those people who say so whats your art about and think you can honestly answer the question in one conversation. And old people on the high street- they walk fucking slow and then will suddenly stop for no reason like they have just been enlightened or somethin- move out the way! |
| TV Shows |
Anything to do with gardening, make overs and people buying houses who gives a shit? |
| Music |
Stuff thats kind of depressing and trying to be all against the world when its written by some upper class prick. |
| |
My Interests
|
| my interests are obviously art and then after that music. I host my mates radio show on manicfm. I also like sport and film. mainly into socialising -drinking and dabbling with narcotics( always in moderation) |
