Have you ever been in the situation where you felt like somebody was offering you the chance of a lifetime? I seem to have lucked into that very situation... I received a grant from the most groovy folks at Creative Capital to put together an all puppet Burlesque show. "A Night at Miss Mimi's" The idea for Mimi's came to me back in 2003 but due to the fact a show of this size would take more then what I was making piercing the navels of snotty O.C. girls. It stayed that way until a good friend hipped me to the most groovy folks at Creative Capital . They gave me the forum to make my pitch, had them good feelings for my idea and chose Mimi''s as one of eleven grants given out for 2006. I guess there were a couple of thousand requests and 40 something made it... Yes your right... Upon hearing the news I did a little dance and dropped to my knees thanking the gods of wine and cheese for another chance to make people say... WOW! COOL

Your puppets are great and very interesting to look at! Did you design them all yourself? I wish I could make something like that but I'm not quite as practical. |
