I am a young art student trying to communicate, I do not want to become an artist who creates messages just so they have something to say, but find myself through art and show others what I believe in. I want to keep art alive, no one can truely say what art is, that is impossible. Art is different to everyone, that is certain, but I believe art takes more than apperance. An artist needs to be skilled in all trades and venture away from comfort, an artist needs to have grace, observation, drafting skills, and knowlage of the world. Many great artists still hold these values, but i have seen many that create dead object. What is an artist? is everone an artist? many people would say yes, but no not everyone is an artist. That word has been thrown around and has stretched out to fit all cases. in the past the artist was someone to be admired and treasured by society. Then the raticals came and started to create new ways, that was a wonderful time for the artist. Now some would say we artists have crossed the line and have lost the meaning of art, I believe this is true is some cases. There is only one thing that i cant stand which is to be fake.
