Hannah Bureau
Massachusetts College Of Art, Painting
come visit my web site at: www.mfa.hannahbureau.com
My paintings are surreal landscapes, inhabited by shapes, objects, and sometimes figures. I am trying to capture a sense of nostalgia, and evoke that feeling in others. I am interested in symbolism, memory, and the effect color relationships can have in creating a mood. I went to Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and am now getting a Masters of Fine Arts degree at Massachusetts College of Art. I live and work in an artist loft/converted mill building in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Leila Bibizadeh <hippy1> Your work is excellent, I like the idea of surreal landscapes inhabited by shapes- very intriguing. |

TJ Donovan <tjdonovan> Nice abstraction. Its refreshing to see spirit rather than an artist who is frightened by it. Beautiful work. |

Angelika J. Trojnarski <ajtrojnarski>
Hello,
in our latest may-issue we have a visitation of the american artist Hannah Bureau.
Because of her excellent ability to build up nature in an abstract and at the same time figurative way, we chose Hannah for the Close Up. The single elements are not objective - just their aggregation, overlapping and interlocking create a space.
Hannah's painting 'Aurora' (page 40) has been bought by the winner of a Saatchi art competition for his first own collection.
Got curious?
Then enjoy the www.mind-box-magazin e.com!
Best wishes,
Angelika
