In my work, the act of drawing manifests a contention from a heavenly echelon of a queer hierarchy. Therein, faux narratives facilitate dialogue concerned with privilege. The fashion campaign kings in their various stages of transformation provide a framework for my process of drawing; I seek the extension and editing of pre-existing aesthetics involving the erotic, ironic, and poetic vernacular. My gesture favors choreography, arrangement over construction in a manner which exalts flamboyance, while retaining a hostile omnipotence. The singularity of the graphite medium is a valentine to the shallowness of my constituency.
BFA 2007 UNLV. Currently working to develop/ mature work presented here for a solo exhibition.
