My Favourites
| Books |
"you walk in the city ways, where Man's threatining shadow red-edged by the sun like Cain, has a changing shape...the pulse that beats in the heart is changed to the hammer that sounds in the Potter's field where they build a new world from our bone and the carrion-bird day's foul droppings and clamour...but you are my night and my peace..(and) this was the song I heard." |
| Music |
"..Now that I have your voice by heart, I read upon the dark chords upon the dulling page music that is not ment for a musics cage, whose emblems mix with words and shake and bleed. The staves are shuttered over with a stark unprinted silence. In a double dream I must spell out the storm, the running stream. The beats to swift. The notes shift in the dark. Now that I have your voice by heart I read...." |

Mike Kitchell <mikekitchell> Hi
I think I sort of tangentially work "with" you at Borders. I might be totally wrong though. But anyway, I just found your art and I wanted to tell you that it's really really really amazing and gorgeous and you know, I could be more objective but this is better I think. Also, re: the piece that is somewhat for Simone Weil, Kate Daniels wrote an amazing book of poetry called "Four Testimonies" and the first section is about/as Weil... |
