Jamin
Tasmanian School Of Art, Painting
I am currently a candidate for a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) at the University of Tasmania's School of Art. I am a current recipient of an Asutralian Post-graduate Award Scholarship.
My practice engages with the production of ‘political’ art in an age of rapidly decreasing tolerance for dissent and critical opinion. Through a hybrid of street and gallery based painting, I explores ideas of power, complicity, duplicity, ambivalence, corruption, greed and privilege as being indicative of both personal and collective contemporary experience.
Currently, my practice is heavily stencil and aerosol based painting / image making.
I came from an industrial print design background before Art School.
