Similar to a machine the human mind is methodically presented with a series of symbols, words, alphabets and languages; information that is read/consumed and which is either accepted or rejected. The set of information that is accepted by an individual becomes a component of his/her personal, transitive reality.
Disordering the physical reality of the natural world, I reassemble the components as artifacts that reflect collective memory and sensory experience. Although each viewer's knowledge is based on a series of individual occurrences, layered associations based on metaphor provide a sense of organization that unites the objects in a new existence. It is in this new existence that each viewer is able to understand the work through personalized transitive dependencies that reference accepted knowledge.
The development of my work includes research, experimentation and a sense of ritual. It is an observation of the biological conditions of form in relation to emotive recall and memory perception.

Natalie Cisneros <nataci> Thanks for taking a look!!! I have been interested in Latex and makeup for some years constantly refining my process. For this particular shoot, I used a heavy modeling clay, cotton, and latex to created the crater on the model as well as to hold the sapling in place. I just used Casting latex nothing too fancy. As for the paint, For the all white man, I used white theatre makeup and the white hair paint you can get anywhere. The model however wasn't really happy with me when it was time to take everything off. For the Blue/White man I decided to get body paint and airbrushed it onto him, this proved to be easier in the removal and a smoother application. Thanks for the Add!

Natalie Cisneros <nataci> I have dabbled in video work and I would love to bring these ideas into motion similar to Matthew Barney. I just usually only have the energy for a shoot. These shoots are intensive lasting up to 12 hours in getting everything together, makeup, setup, shooting etc. Hopefully one day I'll have a crew! |
