Paul E. Bigelow
Laney College, Art
I was born with a plastic spoon in my mouth and went to school where I learned more from epiphanies while extremely high. After such peak experiences, I earnestly tried to live the American dream and pursue happiness, but found capitalism to be a low form of life. To combat resulting existential fears, I read Kerouac, Ginsberg, Kesey and Salinger, traveled in third world countries, found art, and as the saying goes, was blind but now I see (better). All of this is true even if I didn’t mean it.
