Folk Artist Duke Cahill's Wall of Monumental Sculpture

FOLK ART ENVIRONMENT
circa: 80's

Folk Artist Duke Cahill's Wall of Monumental Sculpture
These were part of a Folk Art Environment created by Duke Cahill in Sacramento, California. He worked on his life's work between 1963 - 1999... at which time the environment was devistated by 2 fires... We were able to save most of the monumental Sculpture and someday I will release a documentary video that I shot over a 15 years period when I got to know Duke and his artworks.

Duke Cahill and some of his works

FOLK ART ENVIRONMENT
photo: Seymour Rosen
circa: 70's

Photo by Seymour Rosen... one of my mentors, who helped me to attempt to save Duke's Environment before the fires... This photo can be found in Seymour's Classic Book of D.I.Y. Creators "IN CELEBRATION OF OURSELVES". Seymour was the head of the S.P.A.C.E.S. Organization based out of Los Angeles, which is a non profit group that monitors the present condition of Folk Art Environments globally.
