I was born in 1983 in Cleveland, Ohio. I grew up in a middleclass suburb and attended a very good public school. I've always loved making art, and have drawn and painted for as long as i can remember.

| About the Artist |
I studied art at Ohio Wesleyan University where I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts. My artwork consists primarily of printmaking and painting. My technique is a naturalistic but not realistic approach with loose and expressive mark making when necessary. Light is an amazing phenomenon, and it can take on spiritual meanings in my art, but also helps me to comprehend and render objects or figures. I try to describe a form convincingly by first understanding how it is interacting with light.
The content of my work is developing, but it is mostly reflective of the human condition as I have and constantly am experiencing it. I reflect upon events from my past that I think may be universal, or at least are shared and understood by others. I also try to incorporate spiritual sentiments as well as psychological inquiries into my subjects; and indeed I try enhancing them when they should start to occur on their own.
