Born Denver 5/1958. I spent a lot of time skiing in winter and hiking in summer in the Rocky Mountains. I spent two years in Jamaica in the US Peace Corp growing trees. Did a lot of traveling in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa and settled in Australia 10 years ago. |

I consider my artistic style to be modern medieval. I'm drawn to primitive and naive art and am fascinated by the folk art of Michoacan. My first artworks were comics and the comic element is still strong in my bronze sculpture. I love the surrealists, Bosch, Goya and Australian Aboriginal Art. |

| There is no worst pest in the Swiss Alps than the haystack alpinas. They romp around spoiling the lovely feed and then dash across the alpine meadows looking for the next haystack to stampede.

Vel Hans ist Ole is from the Los Caprichos series based on an etching series by the Spanish artist Francisco de Goya. These etchings were all about the capriciousness of human nature especially in matters of the heart.

| 1981 BS Forest Management Science, 1987 MBA Finance. I had my first solo show in Melbourne in 1998 and have had 10 solo shows and over 50 group exhibitions since then. Some of these shows were in places you've never heard of like Texas, Queensland, but the majority were in Sydney, Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Brisbane. I've shown twice overseas at the 2005 Florence Biennale and in 2003 at the MCA in Denver. I won a winning prize in Super Heroes Exhibition at On Main Off Center Gallery in Denison Texas. | |
