I am an American artist, who lives and works in the wine country just north of San Francisco. “It is important to me as a woman and an artist, to to capture an emotion in my work. I strive to translate those special feelings in life into poetry on the canvas.” I am an award winning illustrator and fine arts painter. I have received accolades from the Pastel Society of America, the Art Directors Club of New York, the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists, CA Magazine, and Campaign Papers. |
| About the Artist | |
My paintings are driven by light, how light affects a subject matter. For this reason I tend to paint a broad range of subjects from people to cityscapes. I am more interested in capturing a feeling then staying with one subject matter. Though I primarily work in pastels and oils, I have used every type of medium at one point in time. As an artist, I believe it is important to always explore new ways of working so I am always exploring new territory. |

| Education and biography | |
| I have a BFA from Art Center College of Design, and am currently working on my MFA at the Art Academy in San Francisco. I have also studied at the Art Academy of Paris, with special study in the Louvre, and the Tate Gallery in London. In addition I had the honor of studying Russian painters at the Art Academy of Russia, Russian Museum, the Hermitage and The National Museum of Russian Fine Art, the State Tretyakov Gallery, in St. Petersburg and Moscow, Russia. |
