| Charly Palmer |
| |
Charly Palmer was born in Alabama and raised in Milwaukee.
An award-winning artist who has made a career not only in Graphic Design and Illustration, but in creating timeless and fascinating fine art works which continue to be added to the collections of thousands of art enthusiasts all across the country.
My early influences which helped shape the unique aesthetic my work include Bill Parks, the late Carl Owens, Paul Goodnight, Joseph Holston, and Jean-Michele Basquiat.

| About the Artist |
If you know any history of Charly Palmers' works, you must be familiar with 'Carlos' my alter ego. Why the need for Carlos? Very simply, I wanted to explore a broader range of Charly Palmers artistic expression to experiment with without losing my original Charly Palmer client base. 'Carlos' allowed me to truly find self, so this departure will be bitter sweet. So if you are an artist enthusiast and own a 'Carlos' piece in your collection, you own what will be known in the future as Charly Palmer's, 'Carlos' Period.
Because of my undying passion and interest in history, my works are Social, Political and often focus on African American historical subjects which start at the Middle passage through slavery and the Jim Crow era, civil rights, negro sports league and music the circuit. Because I know that within me there are no limiitations to my God given talents, my historical focus is not limited to the African American experience, but includes Native Americans and the Jewish Holocaust.
It is my mission and purpose to unearth, rediscover and chronicle the rich and painful aspects of African American cultures, that part of American history which is so often been overlooked. |
