I think art has a function, not only pleasing but chocking, waking people up, change their perception of 'reality' dramaticaly. I think we live in a conceptual world cut away from the things that are real. We are constantly focusing on our ego's. This leads in the end to disaster and unhapiness. My work is a mirror for this ego, in the hope people might not like what they see, and wake up. |
