| Encouraged by a fellow Art History student at St Andrews University, I finally took up the brush in 2002. Since then, I have completed over 300 oil paintings, have exhibited at the Glasgow School of Art, Kilbryde Castle, St Andrews, Perth, Dunkeld and Gleneagles and have had work shown on UK television. Largely self-taught, my artistic experience draws on my knowledge of graphic design, portrait photography and Art History. With a keen interest in the work of the German Expressionists, English Impressionists and Scottish Colorists, you will find reflective, satirical and spontaneous qualities in much of my work as well as my passion for good composition and strong colouring.
