Giuseppe Zanoni (19/06/1970), born and grown up at Porto Ercole, a little town in the South of Tuscany, interested in music and art, is keen on photography, since a German lady gave him his first camera for his 6th birthday. |

| Series "Horizontal"
The unbridled production of pictures in the world of today is not parallel to the visual increase of the human attention; this phenomenon is demonstrated by the habit of the anestetized vision. My research produces a method which re-organizes the look; the use of the entire negative or positive strip helps to have a fast key for the reading of the pictures, similar like the cinematographic images, but firm, because born in minimal time.
The dragging of the films happens in manual way; with this system it´s me to decide the moment in which I want to block the strip for the next photo; this fragmentation of the moment, in the phase of shooting, has the function to leave out the imagine of simbolic representations in order to get to an absolut zerosetting of the level of the perceptive progress. |

| After his high school degree, Giuseppe Zanoni made a Master in photography at the InforAccademia of Rome. Since 1993 he`s working as a photoreporter for the agencies: Sestini (Florence), Makros (Milan), Focus (Florence); he`s even contributing as free - lance to the Italian newspapers and magazines La Repubblica, Il Messaggero, Oggi, Gente, Chi, Panorama and Espresso. In 1999 he realizes "Il Bombo" ("the bumble - bee"), a photoproject regarding the concept of miniature perception and the relation of time and space. In 2000 is published the book "Gocce d' Argento" ("silver drops") by Laurum Editrice. Since 2000 he' s teaching "Educazione all' Immagine" ("education to the imagine") at the photoworkshop and the primary and secondary school of Porto Ercole. In 2001 he begins the "Archivio della Memoria Storica" ("Archives of Historical Memory"), a collection of documents and audio-visual material about the antique trades and popular traditions, which are disappearing, for the Comune of Monte Argentario, (www.archivioeuropeo.it). In the year 2001 he works as assistant photographer in the Studio Delogu at Rome. In 2003 he´s one of eight European artists which are taking part in the "Premio di Fotografia Contemporanea 'Federico Vender' " at Arco di Trento (www.premiovender.com). "Orizzontale" ("Horizontal") is a photoproject with the aim to re - organize the visual ability and to improve the perceptive process. In 2005 he had a breaktrough, beeing one of the seven finalists of the prestigious “Premio Arte” of Milan with the Triptych “Mosaicone”. -Selected solo exhibitions- 2009 Documentation Center Visual Arts Gallery, Grosseto (Tuscany) 2005 S.
