Asif Siddiqui is said to be naturally inclined towards the creative aspects of life and philosophy. Born in the port capital of Karachi,Pakistan, Asif later graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the age of 24.

From the onset of his teenage years, he has always been fascinated by aesthetic designs, whether architectural, mechanical, industrial, or supernatural. Aesthetically inclined, Asif has always strived to create the desirable, and this interest led him to study, learn, and ultimately pursue a career as a 3D modeler/animator. His skills and perseverance led to him being nicknamed after the famous TV cartoon personality Dexter, from Dexter's Lab. Because of Asif's determination to create, he has always made time for his childhood passion, 3D graphics. In addition to working in the lighting and rendering arena, Asif finds time to take part in international 3D Art Galleries and Competitions. |

Produced taken inspiration from the photograph I have seen on the web by an amateur photographer by the name Konador. Simple primitives and spline based modeling, using Autodesk® 3D Studio Max™ as platform. Rendered using Brazil r/s using Brazil light for illumination. Taking references from various photographs of the shoes to start with this task. Modeled incorporating Autodesk® 3D Studio Max™, using the Spline modeling techniques. Loft with Fit tool also been used for the modeling. Rendered using Brazil r/s, using its Fresnel Reflections and Velvet Shader. Some Post work has also been done using Adobe® Photoshop™. |

Various shapes has been drafted as per scale using Autodesk® AutoCAD™. Then, these shapes are imported in 3D Studio MAX™ from which modeling of various parts has been done. Rendered using Brazil r/s incorporating Brazil Chrome and Glass shaders with renderer DOF. Some Post work using Adobe® Photoshop™. |

Here is another of the exercises I have been doing for Lighting using scanline renderer and for faking the GI.
The Sibenik scene file has been downloaded from the NET and all the Lighting has been done using conventional Omnis for direct and indirect illumination. Trying to illuminate the model using Skylights as source of illumination, i.e. no Sunlight here.
About 56 omnis has been used with about 17 among them shadow mapped shadows. Rendering took about 2:00 minutes per frame on 720x486 resolution, on AMD 900MHz with 256MB RAM.
